Well. My plan has been a spectacular failure following the demise of my legs after a night of vigorous SCD. My 5k is next weekend, and I've all but stopped training for it. Here's hoping... I dunno. That I will be able to finish it without stopping jogging. I'm hoping that the energy of the other runners around me will motivate me to keep going.

[EDIT] I would like to point out, that before I stopped running and all that jazz, I got up to be able to do 1.1 miles rest 1.1 miles... in just a number of weeks. I think I could really do fairly well if I could just STICK. TO. IT.

Day One

Yesterday, in a fit on "I need to get healthy"-itis, I signed myself up to do a neat little 5k.

What was I thinking!

The 5k itself is on July 10th, but holy cow. I am so out of shape. Jasper created a training regiment for me that I plan on [attempt to] sticking to.

Today was day one, here is how it worked out:

Training regiment says:

Jog/Run .5 mile, rest 10 min, jog/run .5 mile

What I did:

Jog/Run .5 mile, rest 10 min, jog/run .25 mile, breakdown/cry/panic/walk 2 minutes, jog/run .3 miles.

It got done, just not quite how I wanted it to.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Besides being healthy, I'd also like to lose some weight.

Starting weight today: 155 lbs.
